Visit Khe Xay waterfall - A haven for nature lovers and cultural enthusiasts

Tailor-made Vietnam tours - Covered with the wild beauty bestowed by nature, Khe Xay waterfall in Quang Tri province is an attractive destination that many tourists want to explore every time they visit the southern mountainous region of the province. Coming here, visitors will be satisfied with the beautiful waterfall; learn more about the unique cultural features of the Bru-Van Kieu people...

For those who love nature and the culture of the Van Kieu and Pa Ko ethnic groups, Khe Xay is an ideal destination. From Dong Ha ward to Lia commune, visitors have about 90 minutes to travel on Highway 9, passing the national historical site of Lang Vay base, across the intersection of Tan Long market (Lao Bao commune), then turn left, from here to the center of Thuan 5 village is about 6km, then visitors continue to travel by motorbike or walk about 1km along the small road around the lush cassava hills, admire the stilt houses nestled on the mountainside, see the joyful working atmosphere of the people here...

It is not difficult to find Khe Xay, because from afar the waterfall echoes the sound of water flowing down from above, creating white foam like a song of the mountains and forests inviting visitors. The waterfall is very airy, peaceful, and has beautiful terrain. The height of the waterfall is about 300m, divided into 3 levels, the middle and lower levels both contain clear, cool lakes.

The waterfall is as beautiful as a painting. When standing at the top of the waterfall, you can see a panoramic view of the primeval forest and the long stream flowing from the waterfall. Visitors will be delighted to be immersed in the majestic mountains and forests, with the gentle scent of wildflowers along the waterfall, the chirping of birds, and occasionally encounter monkeys perched and jumping on high tree branches.

Not only monkeys and many rare birds live in Khe Xay, local people often see herds of deer coming down from the high mountains to drink water and rest at the waterfall. After being informed and encouraged, people have pledged not to cut down forests, hunt or chase wild animals, but to join hands to protect them.

After sightseeing and immersing yourself in the cool, clear, and gentle water, visitors can stay overnight in the commune to learn about the local culture. The Van Kieu and Pa Ko people here are very hospitable and willing to introduce the traditional beauty of their people.

Currently, Lia commune has favorable factors for developing community tourism, being favored by nature in terms of climate, soil as well as beautiful landscapes; the cultural identity of the Van Kieu and Pa Ko ethnic groups is diverse and unique such as gong festivals, new rice offerings, and the custom of going sim of the Van Kieu people; traditional musical instruments, folk songs...

Realizing that Khe Xay waterfall has great potential for tourism development, recently, Lia commune authorities have directed specialized agencies to research and develop a plan to develop the waterfall as a community tourism destination; together with the people, focus on exploiting and preparing conditions to serve tourists such as: Building bamboo bridges and small camps for visitors to easily access the waterfall, check-in, rest; promoting propaganda to attract tourists...

Thanks to that, in the summer and on holidays, the number of people coming to play and experience at the waterfall is larger, on average Khe Xay welcomes about 500 visitors per day. This is a good sign, helping the commune continue to promote to attract tourists and develop local tourism.

In the orientation of community tourism development in the period of 2025-2030 in the locality in general, Khe Xay waterfall in particular, Lia commune focuses on innovation and propaganda for community tourism development. Building specific tourism products, suitable to the actual conditions in the locality, focusing on developing cultural-historical tourism products, community-craft village tourism products. Surveying and building specific tourism models and products, associated with the potentials, natural advantages, as well as the unique and distinctive features of the culture and people of the commune.

In the immediate future, the commune will focus on building and developing community tourism at Khe Xay waterfall, helping people increase their income, create jobs for many households living in the area and promote the economic development of the commune. When tourism is formed, the commune will build a weekly market, which is also an opportunity for people in the area as well as neighboring villages of Laos to come and exchange and trade goods.

In order for tourism in Lia to develop smoothly, the commune requests that the authorities consider and approve the planning of tourist attractions in the commune. Guide the review and assessment of areas with potential for tourism development to include in the planning, and at the same time support investment and construction of infrastructure to serve tourism development; strengthen the direction of the restoration and embellishment of relics to serve tourism development; support the organization of festival restoration programs to preserve the cultural identity of ethnic groups, and at the same time link the task of tourism development.

Smart tourism in Ho Chi Minh City where heritage meets innovation

Saigon tours - Born and raised in Ho Chi Minh City , the hustle and bustle of life sometimes makes me a passerby in my own familiar land. This time, I decided to give myself a real vacation, to rediscover the familiar street corners and architectural works from the perspective of a tourist.

Instead of just picking up backpack and going by instinct, I decided to plan my trip very specifically, to make sure I didn't miss any interesting corners of this city.

Accessing the website visithcmc.vn - the city’s official tourism portal, I felt like I was lost in a surprisingly vivid world appearing right on my computer screen.

With just a few clicks, I was able to "stand" in the ancient space of the Central Post Office, admire every detail of the Gothic architecture of the City Theater, or "take a walk" around the Independence Palace through the 3D/360-degree interactive tourist map. Everything was so intuitive and realistic that I could clearly visualize my schedule, with unprecedented ease.

This experience, though small, is a sharp slice, a vivid proof that Ho Chi Minh City's tourism industry has been undergoing a strong "transformation" in the digital age.

The 360-degree digital map on the VisitHCMC website is an impressive welcome, but to truly experience the breakthrough of the city's tourism, I had to set foot on each destination myself. And I chose to start my journey from the places that hold the memories of this city: the museums.

My first stop was the War Remnants Museum. Instead of the familiar image of long and dense captions, now next to each artifact is a compact QR code. A simple scan with the phone, and the story behind each tragic memento of war is suddenly brought to life through a warm voiceover in the headset, or through detailed articles with accompanying documentary images displayed right on the phone screen. History is no longer silent words, but has become a story told that is more personalized, profound and accessible than ever.

The journey continued to take me to the Ton Duc Thang Museum, and technology once again surprised me. Just earlier this year, the Ton Duc Thang Museum underwent a large-scale renovation. From a museum steeped in tradition, the Ton Duc Thang Museum today meets the requirements of conveying exhibition themes in a modern, digital space.

Here, Uncle Ton's life and great career are not just confined in glass display cabinets. They are recreated on a large interactive screen, where I can actively "touch" the timeline, explore each important milestone, and watch valuable documentary footage. It is no longer a one-way information reception, but a lively dialogue with history.

This experience suddenly brought back to me the memory of my trip to Singapore in 2017. I was extremely amazed when I visited the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Museum and saw that they applied automatic explanation technology via QR codes, touch screens to look up information or view artifacts in 3D. At that time, I secretly wished that heritage destinations in Vietnam in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular would soon have such advances.

And now, I realize that wish has come true. A sense of pride creeps into me. The city's tourism and cultural industry has not only learned but has gradually caught up with the world's technological trends. They are using the language of the digital age to breathe new life into the heritage, helping historical values ??not to be forgotten but to become closer to the public, especially the younger generation.

The impressive technological experiences I had at museums or on the VisitHCMC tourism portal were not isolated, spontaneous efforts. Behind them was a strategic vision, a decisive and systematic direction of the city government. That was the policy "lever", creating a solid launching pad for the entire tourism industry to break through.

The core of this strategy is the project "Developing smart tourism in Ho Chi Minh City for the period 2020-2025, with a vision to 2030", approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in 2020.

More than just a guiding document, this project outlines a detailed roadmap with a core goal: to build and form a synchronous smart tourism ecosystem. This ecosystem will closely connect 3 parties: state management agencies - businesses - tourists, through common technology platforms.

Looking more closely, I realized that VisitHCMC is a tangible product of the project, and those QR codes or touch screens are the "extended arms", bringing official information directly to visitors in an attractive way. They turn the quiet heritage spaces into lively, soulful and storytelling spaces.

The project also mentions the development of a shared data warehouse (Big Data). This is considered the "brain" of the city's tourism industry, where information about the market, tourists, tourism products, and service providers is gathered and analyzed. This data helps management agencies make accurate forecasts and decisions, and helps businesses better understand the needs of tourists.

No matter how visionary a strategy is, it will only remain on paper without dedicated people to implement it. What impressed me most when learning about the digital transformation story of city tourism is the formation of a dynamic "ecosystem" where there is strong resonance between the government, businesses and training schools.

Hot topics of the times such as "Application of AI to personalize tourist experiences" or "Challenges and solutions for tourism human resources in the digital age" are no longer vague discussions. They have become real dialogues, where a travel business can order a technology solution from an IT company, and tourism students can listen to shape their career path.

This close cooperation ensures that the digital transformation of city tourism does not just stop at the surface, but really goes into depth, firmly rooted from the technology platform to the quality of human resources.

Returning home after a day of wandering around Ho Chi Minh City, I was still filled with an indescribable joy. The familiar city suddenly became new and attractive. That feeling of excitement urged me to do something I had not thought of for a long time: plan a further trip, to explore more fully the beauty of the country.

Another surprise came. When browsing familiar e-commerce platforms to shop, I came across a series of tours and resort combos from reputable travel agencies being offered right there. The "products" that were only available at travel agencies were now neatly placed in the online shopping cart.

I suddenly realized that these were the first "sweet fruits" of digital transformation. By putting products on online "supermarkets", businesses not only reach a huge number of customers, but can also optimize operations and listen to customers better. The game has really changed.

A week later, I arrived at Tan Son Nhat Airport’s new, modern T3 terminal to begin my journey beyond Ho Chi Minh City. It was here that I experienced another impressive touchpoint technology: biometric security check-in. This revolutionary convenience has contributed to the realization of the vision of a smart, modern megacity.

Sitting on the plane, looking at the sparkling city lights below, I understood that the digital transformation I was witnessing was not a destination, but a journey without a stopping point. From a click on a 360 map, through QR codes in museums, to the biometric system at the airport, all have demonstrated a far-sighted vision. Ho Chi Minh City still has a lot of potential to go further, towards the goal of becoming a leading smart tourism center in Asia, bringing increasingly wonderful experiences to visitors and cultivating pride for every citizen of the city.

Co To island develops underwater tourism products

Halong cruise toursCo To island is undergoing a strong transformation with the focus on promoting and developing underwater tourism services and products for tourists. Not only meeting the increasing demand for experiences of tourists, this direction also helps standardize and enhance the brand, creating a difference for Co To on the map of sea and island tourism.

In recent years, Co To island has become a familiar destination thanks to its wild beauty, fine white sand beaches, many beautiful small islands and cool climate. However, this potential has not been fully exploited; some services and experiential tours have been illegally exploited, creating a bad impression...

Meanwhile, the demand for exploration experiences, especially underwater tourism services and products, tends to increase rapidly. According to statistics, in July 2025, Co To welcomed more than 129,000 visitors. Underwater tourism services and products are a special highlight for young tourists. Because now, tourists coming to Co To not only swim, take photos, but also experience jet skiing, parasailing, visit islands, dive to see corals... "From that demand, underwater tourism products are identified as the spearhead to elevate and differentiate Co To, while increasing the attraction, competitiveness and length of stay of tourists" - Deputy Head of Co To Culture, Tourism and Science and Technology Department said.

Accordingly, in 2025, Co To special zone has deployed a pilot project for underwater entertainment and island sightseeing activities, opening up opportunities to exploit a variety of products such as jet skiing, parasailing, kayaking, and sup. The selected locations include Van Chay, Hong Van, Vung Tron, Ba Chau, and Co To Con. At the same time, the district focuses on managing and exploiting island tours such as the 3-island tours (small Co To island, Ca Chep island, and Su Tu island) and the journey to Tran island, creating a chain of linked sea-island products.

Co To also constantly improves the quality of services at Hong Van and Van Chay beaches, while regulating spontaneous beaches such as Tinh Yeu beach. The highlight is that coral diving products and kayaking, sup, and sunset canoeing are developed in a controlled manner, ensuring safety, limiting spontaneous activities, and maintaining the image of a civilized destination.

Co To Special Zone has implemented a pilot project for inter-island tours, requiring businesses to meet legal, vehicle, rescue personnel and environmental standards. At the same time, it is testing the Net Zero tour model, associated with the “Plastic Waste Free District” project, creating a chain of experiences that reduce emissions from transportation, accommodation to entertainment - very suitable for environmentally sensitive underwater products.

To promote its potential and position its brand, Co To has identified underwater tourism and island tours as its core products. The orientation focuses on four solutions: Diversifying products (sea sports, island tours, night economy), investing in infrastructure (renovating Co To passenger port, completing wharf/port infrastructure, controlling temporary wharfs in Bac Van - Hong Van), tightening management (handling spontaneously, controlling prices, safety, environment) and developing human resources (rescue training, training diving instructors, international standard sea sports).

It is known that in the long term, Quang Ninh province aims to build a marine reserve associated with Tran island to sustainably manage resources and develop controlled eco-tourism. With synchronous steps, Co To is aiming to become a green, safe, and experience-rich sea-island tourism center.

Upgrading underwater tourism products is not only a temporary solution to increase the number of visitors, but also a long-term strategy to affirm Co To's position on the island tourism map. From strict management, infrastructure investment, environmental attention to human resource training, all are aimed at the common goal: Building Co To into a unique and distinctive destination.

Hang Co - The crown jewel of Halong Bay's offshore attractions

Private Halong bay cruise - Located on the 4th route of Halong Bay cruise, Hang Co (Co cave) with its poetic and lyrical landscape of mountains, rivers, and caves makes it easy for visitors to leave an unforgettable impression. Perhaps, this is also the reason why Hang Co is the most attractive destination in the offshore area of this beautiful heritage site.

Hang Co is located halfway up Hon Co Island - a small island far from the shore in Halong Bay, about 20km from Tuan Chau International Tourist Port. The cave is not too large in scale with a small entrance, suitable for each person to comfortably enter through short steps. The two compartments of Hang Co are connected by a small path, in which the first compartment is smaller in scale than the second compartment. The landscape in the cave is naturally created with a system of stalactites and stalagmites that possess unique features compared to many other beautiful caves in Halong Bay.

Not far from the entrance, visitors will be surprised to see a stalactite dome resembling a giant stone shell, just like a large pearl oyster opening its two shells with sparkling light inside. Or like a stalactite column pouring from the ceiling to the cave floor like a marvelous sculpture with unique natural patterns. The stalactites and stalagmites here are high and low, hanging down like stalactite curtains with brown-yellow or pure white colors, captivating the hearts of visitors.

The special cave has enough cracks to let natural light in. On sunny days, the sunlight diffuses through these cracks, creating unique magical light strips. At the end of the cave, visitors follow a small path to exit, which is a great place to admire Halong Bay through the lush green leaves. If lucky, visitors can look down at the bay in the distance and see a tourist boat gliding gently carrying passengers to the cave. The scene is so real and beautiful, it is like a dream.

Hang Co currently has only one entrance and exit, so when returning, visitors will see Halong Bay from a different angle from the back of the mountain. This angle overlooks the rocky islands with very different shapes here. And on the way down, visitors can turn sideways to reach the small sandy beach right at the foot of the mountain. At high tide, the sandy beach is still not completely submerged, revealing a smooth white sandbank, interspersed with large rocks protruding from the clear blue water. However, Hang Co sandbank is especially poetic at low tide, the curved sandbank looks like a crescent moon when viewed from above. In particular, the scenery here is so quiet that visitors can hear the sound of waves lapping against the sandbank, both peaceful and charming.

The poetic scenery, peaceful space, and relative lack of people are the plus points that help Hang Co attract mainly high-end guests. Lucy Fleetwood, a British tourist said that she chose to experience on a private cruiser to have space for only 2 people. The scenery of Halong Bay is very beautiful, bringing her wonderful and impressive emotions right from the first sight. Hang Co is located in a relatively deserted area, which also helps her and friend immerse themselves in the natural space with deep feelings.

Research shows that many tourists, like Lucy, are willing to pay a high price to have private experiences and visit beautiful places in offshore areas such as Hang Co. Specializing in exploiting this type of customer in Hang Co in particular and route 4 on Halong Bay in general for the past 15 years is Dong Duong Cruise Joint Stock Company, the cruise manager said that on average, the company welcomes about 24,000 guests, mainly European guests, to Hang Co each year.

Currently, Hang Co is also the only cave on route 4 cruise tour that is being exploited. With many factors, this is also the scenic spot that attracts the largest number of visitors compared to the destinations on the two offshore tour routes in recent years. According to statistics, in 2024, Hang Co welcomed more than 74,000 visitors and in the first 6 months of this year, this attraction welcomed nearly 44,000 visitors, mainly foreign visitors, belonging to the high-end group staying on overnight cruises in Halong Bay.

4 perspectives, 1 unforgettable Halong bay experience

Halong Bay Travel - With just one trip to Sun World Ha Long (Quang Ninh), visitors can capture the beauty of the wonder of Ha Long Bay from 4 different and emotional perspectives.

Ha Long Bay has long been a dream destination for global travelers – a place where the breathtaking beauty of nature converges with limestone islands, emerald waters and golden sunlight. Usually, to fully appreciate this beauty, visitors often choose to board a boat, go deep into the middle of the bay, wait for the sunset or sunrise to capture precious moments.

But if you are used to those experiences, the journey to Sun Hill at Sun World Ha Long, Quang Ninh province – with 4 different perspectives – will be a completely new way to explore the wonder from above.

Queen Cable Car - touching the “wonder in the sky”

From the moment you leave the mainland by the Queen cable car, which holds two world records, visitors will embark on a special “time-travel” journey to see the bay. Each cabin can accommodate up to 230 people, floating in the air, across the bay, opening up a breathtaking panorama of Ha Long. Each meter of cable passing by is an “absolutely cinematic” angle, with bobbing tourist boats, soft curved sandbanks, bustling Bai Chay ward on the shore of the bay, and in the distance are the silent limestone mountains. That is how Ha Long Bay is not only seen but also felt – with the overwhelming and silent feeling before the majestic nature.

Sun Wheel – the highest observation station of Heritage Bay

Setting foot on Sun Hill, the Sun Wheel stands out against the heritage sky. With a height of more than 215 meters, each cabin on the wheel slowly takes visitors up high, opening up an unlimited view of the bay. From above, the beauty of Ha Long Bay becomes more romantic. Many people choose this place to watch the sunset - when the sun touches the bay, making the whole space seem to be dyed gold. Sun Wheel is not only a "check-in" point but also a stop to pause, to feel the beauty of the heritage city from a poetic perspective.

Koi Bridge - admire the heritage bay in the Japanese landscape

In the middle of the Japanese garden, a giant red Koi fish-shaped bridge spans two hills, offering visitors a panoramic view of Ha Long Bay. Originally an indispensable part of the traditional Japanese Garden architectural complex, the Koi bridge has been invested in and built on a larger scale, inspired by the image of the Koi fish - a symbol of aspiration, perseverance and strength in Japanese culture.

Just go up to the highest position on the bridge, facing Ha Long Bay, visitors will be able to see the majestic bay from above. Turning back towards Zen Garden, the scene of a traditional Japanese garden is completely in your eyes with the lush green of rivers, streams, rockery, stone lanterns, grass, trees, fish ponds... All are taken care of to every detail to bring visitors to experience a space in the standard Japanese style.

Bao Hai Linh Thong temple - Contemplating wonders in tranquility

Located in a "rare" location on a high mountain top, among green pine hills, overlooking Ha Long Bay, Bao Hai Linh Thong Tu possesses all the elements that a sacred spiritual complex usually possesses. Unlike the previous bustling stops, this place brings tranquility, solemnity with deep spiritual culture. The complex has the ancient Vietnamese pagoda architecture of the 17th-18th century and the unique art of creating Buddha statues of this period.

From here, visitors can look out to the distance to see a peaceful Ha Long Bay in the afternoon light. The sound of temple bells, incense smoke and the scent of lotus in the wind bring a sense of peace and relaxation to those who come here.

Sun Hill is one of the rare places in Quang Ninh that allows you to take in the beauty of wonders from every level - from romantic to overwhelming, from bustling to quiet. With just one destination, visitors can touch many levels of emotions, so that when leaving, what remains is not only beautiful photos, but also a Ha Long Bay that is both strange and familiar - a place worth returning to, more than once.

Sun World Ha Long is currently offering a cable car ticket price of VND 380,000/trip for adults and VND 280,000/trip for children. Visitors can also choose a combo ticket for 2 parks or a combo ticket for 3 parks with Dragon Restaurant buffet, enjoying a full day of fun - cuisine - sightseeing at Sun World Ha Long for only VND 400,000. A worthy investment for the journey of "capturing the heritage in sight" and enjoying the summer in the most special way.

Vietnam ranked top budget-friendly destination in Southeast Asia

Cheap Vietnam tours - Vietnam tourism is moving fast, ready to stand with top Asian destinations such as Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia... thanks to low costs, beautiful scenery and ideal experiences for backpackers.

Amid rising prices and increasingly tight travel budgets, Vietnam is emerging as a top budget destination in Southeast Asia.

Not only joining the game, our country is also rewriting the rules of the game, changing the way countries position themselves in the Southeast Asian tourism market - a paradise of cheap adventures, according to Travel And Tour World magazine (TTW).

Vietnam has it all. From bustling cities to tranquil rice terraces, the S-shaped strip of land is not only a cultural feast, but also a great destination for those who want to experience more with less expenses.

In the list of the most budget-friendly destinations in Southeast Asia for backpackers, Vietnam ranked first with 40/45 points. This list is ranked based on the assessment of costs such as food, accommodation, transportation, entertainment and drinks.

A bus ticket costs around 7,000 VND, cold beer starts at 22,000 VND, soft drinks start at 11,000 VND and cheap accommodation starts at 30,000 VND per night - figures that are almost unrivalled in Southeast Asia. For solo travellers, couples or digital nomads, Vietnam offers a combination of low cost of living and high value experiences.

Coming in second in the region, Indonesia scores big on low food costs and affordable entertainment options. A meal at a local restaurant can cost as little as 43,000 VND, making long trips more affordable.

Not only that, Indonesia is also a leader in cheap entertainment, with everything from gyms, cinemas to tennis court rentals – all within easy reach. This is especially ideal for those planning a long stay.

Thailand holds onto third place with its familiarity, affordability and exciting experiences.

Thailand has long been a haven for backpackers and adventurers. While it may no longer be the cheapest destination, it still strikes a balance between value, connectivity and tourism infrastructure. With countless hostels, night markets and budget tours, Thailand continues to attract travellers from around the world. Its diverse landscapes – from party islands to misty jungles – offer something for every budget.

Malaysia and Singapore come in fourth and fifth, more expensive, but ideal for long-term stays thanks to favorable visa policies.

While Singapore is the most expensive option (the cheapest room rates are around 1,786,000 VND/night), the island nation stands out for its security, modern infrastructure and global connectivity. It is still an ideal stopover for "flashpackers" or those combining work and travel.

Malaysia, which is more affordable than its island neighbour, has the most generous visa policy alongside Singapore. Tourists from many countries can stay for up to three months without a visa - making both countries attractive to digital nomads and those who prefer to explore at a slower pace.

The rise of budget destinations like Vietnam and Indonesia is forcing Southeast Asian countries to rethink their strategies. Tourism agencies are starting to pay more attention to the spending habits of young people - especially young visitors who prioritize authentic, cost-effective and sustainable experiences.

Many cities have invested in upgrading public transport systems, expanding hotels, and developing community experiences. At the same time, low-cost airlines have increased the frequency of flights to destinations such as Da Nang, Bali, and Chiang Mai, making it easier for tourists to build international discovery itineraries. Long-term visas and digital nomad visas are also being considered by many countries to meet the demand for long-term stays.

II. Top 15 meest aantrekkelijke toeristische bestemmingen in Cao Bang vandaag

1. Ban Gioc Waterval

7. Me Pia-pas

15. Etnische ambachtsdorpen in Cao Bang

Ho Chi Minh city - Attracting tourism products associated with history

50 years after the National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), many "red addresses" in Ho Chi Minh City such as the Independence Palace, Cu Chi tunnels, War Remnants Museum... still retain their historical value and become attractive destinations for tourists. Ho Chi Minh City is trying to promote the development of return-to-origin tours, introduced new products and special stimulus programs to attract a large number of domestic and international tourists. Saigon tours

The attraction of "red addresses"

Located in the heart of the city named after president Ho, the Independence Palace (Nam Ky Khoi Nghia Street, District 1) is an important historical witness of April 30, 1975. It was here that on April 30, 1975, a tank pulled down the main gate to enter the palace, marking the victory of the Ho Chi Minh Campaign and the complete unification of the country. Today, this building has become a symbol of peace and independence.

Passing through the historic gate, visitors can see with their own eyes the offices and reception rooms that have been preserved intact, along with the underground bunker system, maps, and communication equipment of the old Saigon government. All of these take visitors back in time to the turbulent historical years.

Not far from the Independence Palace, the War Remnants Museum on Vo Van Tan Street (District 3) is a place to preserve artifacts, documents, and images of the crimes and devastating consequences of the Vietnam War. More than 20,000 original images, documents, and artifacts are preserved and displayed, carrying great documentary and artistic values, deeply moving many visitors.

Not only a "red address", the War Remnants Museum is also a famous global tourist destination, being in the Top 10 most attractive museums in Asia voted by travel site TripAdvisor in 2012.

Leaving the city center, visitors who want to learn more about the war can join the journey to the Cu Chi Tunnels Historical Site - a "wonder" located in the heroic steel land. This tunnel system has a total length of 250km, was dug by the army and people of Cu Chi, used throughout the two wars and was a solid base for the Southern Liberation Army to attack the center of Saigon.

Coming to this "underground city", visitors can hear about the exploits of the army and people of Cu Chi, and try crawling inside the tunnels to feel the hardship and resilience of the soldiers of the past.

The Cu Chi Tunnels historical site is not only an attractive tourist destination but also a meeting place, a place to revisit the old battlefield full of emotion for veterans from all over the country. Thanks to its profound historical significance and unique appeal, the Cu Chi Tunnels historical site is being submitted by Ho Chi Minh City to UNESCO for recognition as a World Cultural Heritage.

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day, the Ho Chi Minh City Tourism Department launched many new attractive products. This is an opportunity for the city’s tourism industry to honor historical values, while welcoming visitors with the hospitality that is a characteristic of the people of Saigon - Ho Chi Minh City.

Accordingly, the Department of Tourism and local travel agencies prepared a variety of products to attract tourists during the April 30 holiday this year. Many historical tours have been newly designed or have new experiences, combining visits to relics with hands-on interactive activities, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of national history. The products have also been diversified to suit many audiences, from students to veterans, the elderly and international tourists.

In addition, hundreds of travel and accommodation businesses participated in the stimulus program "50 golden days - Discover the hospitable and vibrant Ho Chi Minh City", offering many incentive programs for tourists such as discounts on historical-themed inner-city tours, night museum tickets, hotel - food combos, souvenirs... This is an effort to create attraction for Ho Chi Minh City tourism on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification, while aiming at the goal of sustainable development of cultural - historical tourism.

Highlighted among the new products are the “return to the origin” tours recreating the journey of 50 years of unification, introduced by leading travel companies in Ho Chi Minh City. For example, Saigontourist Travel Company launched the “50 years - Return to the beloved South” tour exclusively for veterans to revisit the old battlefields combined with a tour of Ho Chi Minh City. Viet lux Company pioneered the development of inter-provincial “Return to the origin” tours rich in experiences.

It is expected tol be one of the city's signature products and create a meaningful impression on tourists from other provinces, cities and internationally on this occasion.

Watch fireworks 3 nights a week

No need to wait until Tet or other holidays, people and tourists can now enjoy the feeling of "New Year's Eve in the middle of summer" right at Fireworks Bay, Sun Elite City, Bai Chay Ward, with artistic fireworks displays. The beach opposite Sun Carnival Square is the most ideal place to watch fireworks. Fireworks will be launched at 9:30 pm on Thursday (July 31) and Saturday (August 2). It is expected that from the following week, there will be 3 fireworks shows each week at 9:30 pm, lasting until September 2, 2025.

Not simply a series of fireworks lighting up the sky, the fireworks here are designed in the form of high-altitude performances, combining sound and light effects. More than 1,000 fireworks and 50 special effects create unforgettable visual moments. The fireworks light up the entire bay in the excited cheers of locals and tourists. The atmosphere is enough to make anyone who has passed by look back, and anyone who has seen it once wants to come back. Fireworks on Bai Chay beach are gradually becoming a part of Quang Ninh night , when locals and tourists eagerly wait until the end of the day, not to rest, but to "see fireworks together".

"Making a mess" at Vui-Fest night market every day

Fireworks are not the only new thing in Bai Chay now. This already familiar destination now also brings a miniature festival world with the new version of Vui-Fest night market. From 6:30 p.m., the coastal space of Sun Elite City enters one of the most exciting times of the day, when the night market opens and exciting interactive activities take place continuously. Street music, a rich food court, souvenir stalls and exciting games create a very different version of Bai Chay - attractive, youthful and vibrant like never before.

The food stalls are eye-catching with grilled skewers, seafood, traditional cakes and cool drinks. Right in the middle of that space are mini-activities taking place throughout: stirring up with quick and fun mini-games with the audience; free balloon twisting to create shapes that fascinate children; friendly mascot characters ready to take pictures with visitors. In particular, the tall "light robots" moving through each area create modern visual highlights, making the atmosphere more lively. Next to that are young bands performing in street style, creating a background for conversations, gatherings to "chill" to the music with friends by Halong bay.

Party at Bai Chay beach

For tourists who love the excitement of Bai Chay at night, the bars, pubs and beach clubs along the beach are ideal choices to continue the fun after the brilliant fireworks and bustling shopping at the night market.

Just walking along Ky Quan Street - connecting Sun Carnival Square with the central beach, visitors can easily come across a series of entertainment venues that are open until late at night such as Valley Beach Club, Bistro Fou Beach Club, Chill Beach Bar... Open space near the sea, vibrant music, bright lights - all create memorable night experiences. Each place has its own "mood": there is a vibrant place with DJs and stage lights, a chill place with acoustic music, or simply a cocktail table overlooking the sea, where people can clink glasses and listen to the sound of the waves.

Any visitor to Bai Chay, Quang Ninh can now find their own version of the night – vibrant or romantic, liberal or peaceful. And perhaps, that is also part of the attraction that makes Bai Chay gradually become the most attractive sleepless night destination in northern Vietnam.

The highlight of the program was the business-to-business (B2B) connection between Quang Ninh tourism and service businesses and Korean travel agencies. The two sides exchanged information, sought partners, introduced tours and routes, and developed a cooperation plan to bring Korean tourists to Quang Ninh in the near future.

The Quang Ninh tourism promotion program in Korea in 2025 is an important activity, part of the series of programs implementing the province's tourism development plan, while contributing to the realization of the GRDP growth target and enhancing the position of Quang Ninh tourism in the international arena. This is also an opportunity to establish long-term cooperative relationships, aiming to strongly attract Korean tourists to the heritage land of Quang Ninh - an attractive and safe destination of Vietnam tourism.

In-depth cooperation model between Hanoi tourism businesses

The 'Green Island Symphony' tour alliance connecting Cat Ba - Hai Phong is implemented by Hanoi Unesco Travel Club (HUTC) in coordination with Sun World Group (Sun Group), bringing new experiences with classy shows, attractive food tours, 4-star resorts and preferential prices. Cheap tours to Vietnam

The “Green Island Symphony” tour is designed as a summer-inspired experience for 2 days and 1 night. Visitors will travel by the world’s longest sea-crossing cable car ; visit the Bach Dang Giang relic site; immerse themselves in a spectacular show on the sea and end with a Hai Phong food tour with delicious specialties.

The highlight of the tour is the international-class art and sports performance on the sea combined with fireworks in the central bay of Cat Ba. International athletes coordinate in jetski, flyboard and jetsurf formations - extreme sports that are already challenging in standard conditions, now programmed with a system of music, lights, fireworks and lasers that match every second. The show has just set two Guinness World Records at the same time: "Jetski Fireworks Show with the largest formation in the world" and "Most acrobatic flyboard athlete in one minute".

The “Green Island Symphony” tour is the result of a typical multilateral cooperation model, when 7 businesses in Hai Phong joined hands to create a high-quality tourism product, professionally operated but still ensuring accessible prices for the majority of tourists.

With the sharing of infrastructure, services, and communications, the alliance offers prices from VND 2,250,000/person, 30% - 40% lower than individual travelers. Not only does it help optimize costs for tourists, this alliance model also ensures stability in weekly tour operations, proactively sources input, and provides good support for travel agencies in building an ecosystem of short-term tourism products around Hanoi.

Speaking about the new tour of Hai Phong city, Mr Ngoan said that the show "Green Island Symphony" is not just a simple entertainment product, but an international art product that previously had to be experienced in Singapore. The tour is designed to be compact, convenient, suitable for everyone from the elderly to families with young children. The cable car system operates all night to serve visitors to watch the show - a flexible solution, optimizing time and experience of traveling from Hai Phong to Cat Ba and vice versa.

The “Green Island Symphony” tour is a typical example of the mindset of renewing tourism products based on familiar destinations. “Cat Ba is a destination that attracts both domestic and international visitors, but only when there is a high-class live show will the tourism brand here truly break through. The short tour itinerary but rich in experience, professional operation and reasonable price, is the premise for developing sustainable tourism products all year round, not just seasonally,” Ngoan added.

In his role as program coordinator, Mr Anh from HUTC, said that the “Green Island Symphony” tour alliance is not just a single product, but the first step in the strategy of building a short-term tour ecosystem of 2 days and 1 night around Hanoi. “We are preparing to expand a similar model in Ha Nam, Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, creating a chain of products to serve tourists all year round, while improving the competitiveness of the capital’s travel business community.”.

The birth of the “Green Island Symphony” tour alliance shows that the model of in-depth tourism cooperation between small and medium-sized enterprises and large service providers is completely feasible, bringing dual benefits to both tourists and organizers.

In the context of the domestic tourism market being reshaped towards short-term, good-priced, and rich-experience tourism, the tourism alliance model is the key to opening up a more sustainable and proactive future for Vietnamese travel businesses.
