New sightseeing fees for Hanoi tours in the coming time

People's Committee of Hanoi has announced the new entrance fees at historical sites and sightseeing places in Hanoi, applied from 1st January 2015

There is no admission charge for visitors on 30th December and 1st, 2nd on Lunar January at Ngoc Son temple, Quan Thanh temple, Master pagoda and Perfume pagoda, Duong Lam ancient village. As for Ngoc Son temple there is no entrance fee applied on the Saint's anniversary 20th Lunar August.

According to the decision, the following people are free to visit the scenic, historic, cultural facilities in the city of Hanoi: People with serious disability, children under 15 years old are free of charge at Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature), Ngoc Son temple, Co Loa ancient citadel, Hoa Lo prison museum, Thang Long royal citadel, Thay and Tay Phuong pagodas, people who are honored for national revolution, members of War Veteran association, people in the liaison prisons across the country.

People who are reduced 50% entrance fees at all historical and sightseeing sites include those with serious disability, elderly people (Vietnamese citizens from 60 years old upwards), the beneficiaries of preferential policies to enjoy cultural products.

Students over 15 years old with student identity are also receive 50% reduction of entrance fees.

Hanoi People's Committee also issue boat and ferry tolls. Accordingly, the rowing boat at Perfume Pagoda, the rates as follows: Route Huong Tich, boat price is 35,000 VND/person for return trip, high quality boats cost 40.000 vnd per person for 2 ways. For ferry fees, the highest type of cargo trucks is 50.000 vnd a car and for vehicles with less than 10 seats is 30.000 vnd a car.

Collecting units are responsible for public announcement at the sites about name of fee, rates, methods and agencies issueing regulations, when collecting the fees must have receipts for payers.

The violations will be dealt with under the provisions of the Government and the Ministry of Finance to sanction administrative violations in the field of management of prices, fees and charges, bill..
